Rex is gone.
Just like-- In case anyone was wondering. I mean, he asked me to ask the Admiral, somewhere in between getting attacked by a vampire, and his girlfriend coming back from the aether, if I could ask the Admiral to get him out of here for a bit, and... yeah. So. I guess sometimes you get what you ask for around here.
Yeah.
[Fail Private to the Admiral. In his rage, Harper bungles the filtering, so you can see it!]
How did you get 'make him vanish from existence with no explanation' from 'lemme take him home for a couple of days'? Is this how you do it? Bring people here, let them start getting some things right, then take all those things away, torture them for a while, and then just ditch them again?
You know, putting aside for a minute, your under the table reality breaking deal, and the appeal there is to having free food and a place to live? The only reason why I even listened to your freakin' offer, was because I was sick of watching that unscientific psychopath back on Seefra hurt the things that I was responsible for, so if this is just gonna be same shit different dimension then--
...Then why the hell did you even make me an offer?
[Filtered away from Louis, Damon, and Batboy, AND THEIR WARDENS. Then edited out of existence as the plan changes.]
Hey, did anyone get a good look at my inmates wounds from when he was killed? I mean, it all sorta just looked like a big messy... chewfest to me, but like, if anyone got a good look at the bite marks? That would be really helpful to me right now.
[Private to the wardens of Louis, Damon, and Batboy]
I need your inmates to give me an imprint of their teeth.

Date: 2010-07-21 01:18 am (UTC)What I'm asking you, is if I get the teeth marks off the vampire that your inmate and his friend are implicating, and if they prove that he didn't do it, and that your inmate is lying to you about this, then, and only then, will you ask for an imprint of his teeth?
Because if it even gets to that point, that means that your inmate's either a liar or a murderer, and that you shouldn't be protecting him on this.

Date: 2010-07-21 02:03 am (UTC)Look, let me break this down for you:
There are three vampires, let's call them A, B, and C.
My inmate gets killed, by a Vampire. He says it was Vampire B, only Vampire B has an alibi.
He was hanging out with Vampire A, and they both confirm that they didn't do any killing. While he's at it, he drops an offhand comment about how unstable vampire C is.
So maybe vampire C is unstable, because of this, I plan on going to him first. If he did it? Then that's great! You no longer need to worry about me!
If he didn't do it, then that means either A or B did it. What this means is that one of them is lying to cover up a murder which the other one committed, and they're both trying to pin it on someone else.
What I'm saying right now? Is that I'll be completely happy if it turns out that Vampire C is guilty, but if he's not? Then... purely under the circumstances which I just described, why wouldn't you ask him for the imprint of his teeth?

Date: 2010-07-21 12:50 pm (UTC)Why is none of your business, because how I interact with my inmate is none of your business. I happen to trust my inmate, and asking him for an imprint would betray that trust. It would insult him. It would ruin seven months of work, and I'm not ready to throw that away unless I've got good reason to doubt him.
Which I don't. So sorry, I'm not going to do it.
